OUGD505: Studio brief 2 - Design for children

I'm branding and a one day event for parents to take there children to, but I need to look at some design which is aimed at children to see what is appropriate. I need to analyse fonts, colour and imagery to get a deeper understanding, and to get some ideas of where I may possibly take my branding.

Here are some characters, a lot of colour use, I could possibly use characters in my branding:

Here is design for an app for children, again illustrations have been used, and there is plenty of colour:

'This was a one and half month teamwork project for the non-profit organization Child Study Center at Rochester Institute of Technology.  In the center, children can learn and play with their parents. The experts in the center will observe how each family communicates, and than advise the parents how to educate and communicate with their children better. The goal of the center is helping parents educate their children in a healthy way.'

In the context of our collaboration with the Onassis  Cultural Centre we were commissioned to create a program-book featuring all the educational events of the season 2013-2014.

For the educational events program we created a series of illustrations as key communication visuals for each event. Using a specially developed grid, all the illustrations are made by recurring geometric shapes so that a sense of coherence is maintained among the type of the events.

There is nothing prettier than wooden furniture for the garden. How clever to have thought of the children by integrating a central storage area for toys and given it a rounded and colourful design! The Kids' Party is everything at the same time. Very easy to put together and transport, you'll love how practical and simple it is!
